Province of Chieti

The Chieti (Italian Provincia di Chieti) province is a province of the Abruzzo region. It is bounded on the northwest by the province of Pescara, in the southwest of the province of L' Aquila, and to the south by the Molise region. In the north- east of the Adriatic Sea borders. The capital of the province is the same Chieti.

In the province of 389 053 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in 104 communities covering an area of ​​2588.35 km ².

The province is used for agriculture, with large grain production, is also rich in vineyards, olive trees (especially in the running parallel to the coast hills strip between Chieti and Vasto ), and fruit trees. Along the coast, it has several fishing harbors ( Francavilla al Mare, Ortona, Vasto ), which provide the typical products of the Adriatic Sea.
