Prozor-Rama

Prozor- Rama ( German outdated Prosser ) is a municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The municipality is located north of Herzegovina and has an area of ​​about 480 km ². It is part of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main town Prozor ( 7000 inhabitants) is located about 55 kilometers north of Mostar and 70 km west of Sarajevo.

History

In the villages of the municipality of Rama numerous testimonies were from the Mousterian ( 125000-60000 BC ), the Eneolit ​​(2400 bis 1800 years BC ) and found in Illyrian and Roman times (among the remains of a basilica of the Holy Barbara n from the 6th century BC). Here settled the Celtic tribe of the Iapoden.

In the 7th century the Slavs migrated to the territory of Rama.
