Stari Grad, Sarajevo

Stari Grad ( " Old Town " ) is a municipality ( Općina ) with almost 39,000 inhabitants in the urban area of ​​the Bosnian capital Sarajevo. During the Bosnian War, the Serbian-dominated eastern part of the municipality split off and now forms the municipality Istočni Stari Grad ( " Old East " ) in the Republika Srpska.
