Pühret

Pühret is a municipality in Upper Austria in Vöcklabruck district in Hausruckviertel with 594 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district Vöcklabruck.

Geography

Pühret is located at 440 m altitude in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 4.3 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 2.7 km. The total area is 6.5 km ². 15.4% of the area is forested, 75.4 % of the area is used for agriculture.

Blazon: On a silver shield with Eisenhut main division ( six green iron hats ) in a green silver birch branch with three leaves and two hanging kitten. The municipality colors are green and white and black.

The coat of arms granted in 1981 explained by the birch branch the name of the community, " Birch Grove " means. The iron hats stand for the six villages.

History

Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. In 1991 the community had 550 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 573 inhabitants.
