RFU Championship

The RFU Championship ( to 2009 National Division One) is the second- highest division of the English rugby union championship. It was introduced at the beginning of the season 1987/88 and consists of twelve teams. End of the season the best teams coming rises in the English Premiership, while the two worst teams must stay in the National League 1.
