2009–10 English Premiership (rugby union)

The 2009/10 season of the English Premier League was the 23rd season of the top flight of English rugby union championship. For sponsorship reasons it was called Guinness Premiership. It began on 4 September 2009, consisted of 22 game days (one forward and reverse turn) and lasted until May 8, 2010. Subsequently, the top four teams qualified for the semi-finals, the semi-final winners met on May 29, 2010 at the finals in Twickenham Stadium each other. Master was the ninth time the Leicester Tigers who were able to defend their title from last year. The Worcester Warriors had to dismount.

The season of second division (since this season RFU Championship, formerly the National Division One ) took of 4 September 2009 to 20 February 2009 and included 22 game days (one forward and reverse round). The best eight teams met again in two groups and played in play-offs for a place in the first division. The four remaining teams played each other one relegated to the third tier of.
