History

The TV Östringen, one of the two predecessor clubs of the Lions, was founded in 1900 and introduced in 1927 its first handball team. 1926 was the other predecessor association, the DJK Kronau with handball as a major sport. But two seasons later, the re- descent of the TSG Kronau followed in the Oberliga Baden. In the same year the TSV Östringen reached the 2nd Bundesliga Süd. 1996, the B - youth TSG Kronau with a playoff victory over SC Magdeburg the title of German Champion. The SG Kronau / Östringen eventually came on 1 July 2002 from the merger of TSG Kronau with the TSV Baden Östringen. Home ground was the Rhein-Neckar -Halle Eppelheim.
