Rivergaro

Rivergaro is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 6968 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Piacenza in Emilia -Romagna. The community is located about 18 kilometers southwest of Piacenza at the Trebbia in Trebbia piacentina.

History

The villa Anguissola Scotti - planned by Lothario Tomba 1778, built on the foundations of a fortification from the 11th century. From the 13th century ( 1234) is still worth seeing the Castello di Montechiaro.

Traffic

Through the village along the Trebbia the Strada Statale 45 di Val Trebbia leading from Piacenza coming to Liguria and Genoa.

Sports

The Women's Volleyball Team of the Rebecchi Piacenza Nordmeccanica ( River Volley Piacenza) plays in the highest national leagues (A1 and A2) of Italy.
