Robert Felisiak

Robert Felisiak ( born October 11, 1962 in Wroclaw, Poland ) is a former Polish, from 1989 German fencer who was with the sword Olympic Champion and Vice World Champion.

1988 Robert left Felisiak Poland and joined the fencing club Tauberbischofsheim. In the World Fencing Championships 1989 Robert Felisiak was the first time in a major tournament in the German fencing team and won the team silver medal. In the World Fencing Championships 1991, he won the team bronze. In the singles final, he defeated Andrey Shuvalov from the Soviet Union and won the silver medal.

At the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona Felisiak finished ninth in the individual competition. With the German epee team he won gold, with Vladimir Resnitschenko, who won in 1988 with the Soviet Union Bronze, was a second Späteingebürgerter in the team.

In early 1993, Robert Felisiak joined the Jehovah's witnesses. Because belonging to the Jehovah's Witnesses is incompatible with the exercise of martial arts, hereby ended his athletic career. His employment as a coordinator at the Sports Centre Tauberbischofsheim ended also.

He was a member of the coaching staff at the fencing club of the TSF Ditzingen.
