Rögling lies in the planning region of Augsburg.

There is only the district Rögling.

History

Rögling belonged since 1505 to the Duchy of Neuburg -Sulzbach and his court Graisbach; since 1777 the area was part of the Electorate of Bavaria. The development of the town is dominated by the Nadler crafts, which led the city to flourish. In the 17th and 18th centuries Röglinger needles were sold worldwide.
