The Route nationale 1, N 1 short or 1 RN, is a French national road, which ran until 2006 from Paris to the Belgian Bray -Dunes. Due to the competition of Autoroute A 16, only three short sections left over from the original route.

History

1824 was the successor to the N1 route impériale 1 between the Notre Dame in Paris and Calais. Her length was 272.5 km. In Calais, she was linked to the N40 and N43. It is home to the narrowest point of Ärmelkanales about which there are ferry to Dover, from where a road to London there that is called the A2 road since 1922. In 1973, the N1 between Beauvais and Abbeville was on a tour of Amiens relocated (now as departmental road D1001 signposted). You got from Beauvais to Breuteuil the route of the N181, thence to Amiens the N16. Between Amiens and Yzeux she was the N35A, a 1976 put into operation bypass the N35, slammed and later in Abbeville to the route of the N35. In addition, the Route nationale 1 from Calais took to the Belgian border, the Route nationale 40 ( current name of departmental road D 940). Since 2006, there are only very short sections of national highway in the area Paris and the connection points of the A16.

N 1d

The N 1D was a side branch of the N1, which was commissioned in 1977 as a connection to Junction 2 of the A1 in operation. It was in 1978 umgenummert N401 and since 2006 has been the RNIL401.
