Geographical Location

The community is located 11 km north of Passau and 11 kilometers south of Tittling in the southern Bavarian forest west of the Ilz and near the border with Austria. By bypassing the federal highway 85, the place could tackle a village renewal, since he was relieved of the heavy transit traffic.

History

Ruderting was inhabited around 3000 BC and refers to the Cham Culture group. For the stay of the Celts ( 600-100 BC) also traces found in the municipality.

The result shows the nobleman " Rudbert or Rudpert of neck " ( usually wrongly mentioned as " Rupert ") as the namesake and founder of the settlement Rud ( b ) erting. Rudberts life time to the year 1100 so that is considered by the plausible justification as the founding year of the current local part Ruderting. Ruderting was first documented in 1311, some districts already in 1280. Ruderting belonged to Rentamt Landshut and the district court Vilshofen of the Electorate of Bavaria.

Mayor

First Mayor since 1989 Josef Schätzl (CSU ), which was confirmed in 2008 with 66.35 % of the valid votes in office. Deputy Mayor since 1996 is Konrad Schreder (CSU ).

Finances
