Geographical location
Bag Bach is located approximately 12 km south of Vilshofen on the Danube, 33 kilometers west of Passau, 15 km north of Bad Griesbach and Bad Birnbach and 22 kilometers north-east of parish churches in the Donau -Wald.
Bag Bach is located in the monastery angle and the edge of the wood country in the typical hilly countryside of Lower Bavaria.

History
Already in pre-Christian times, the current community bag Bach was settled by the Celts. Of these, several located in the municipality area cemeteries as well as a Celtic Viereckschanze testify. Bag Bach was part of the rule Haide castle and belonged to Rentamt Landshut and the district court Vilshofen in the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
The parish bag Bach was incorporated from 1447 to 1806 the Cistercian monastery Fuerstenzell.

Coat of Arms History:
The so-called Uttenschwalbe is the heraldic animal of the Barons of Closen, the important basic and low- court men in the municipality of Bach bags were as holder of the rule Haide castle. The tips in the form of split ( gezwickelte ) chevrons in silver and red is the abbey of the Cistercian monastery of Arms Fuerstenzell.

The council has been working for the municipal election held on 2 March 2008 as follows:
- CSU: 7 seats ( 54.1 % of the vote )
- UW: 3 seats ( 24.7 % of the vote )
- SPD FWG: 2 seats (21.2% of the vote)
Mayor
Mayor Michael Diewald (CSU ), the 54.9 % of the votes prevailed over his rival candidates on 16 December, 2012. His predecessor Josef Eglseder (CSU ), who was in office since 2002, was confirmed in 2008 with 65.77 % of the votes cast in office, passed away on September 20, 2012 unexpectedly at the age of 68 years. Its predecessor was Hans Röhrner ( Nonpartisan voter community ).
Finances
The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 307 thousand in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) equivalent to € 51 thousand.

Economy, agriculture and forestry
It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the manufacturing sector and 39 in the area of trade and transport any social insurance contributions at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the work of 18 people.
