Geographical location

Bag Bach is located approximately 12 km south of Vilshofen on the Danube, 33 kilometers west of Passau, 15 km north of Bad Griesbach and Bad Birnbach and 22 kilometers north-east of parish churches in the Donau -Wald.

Bag Bach is located in the monastery angle and the edge of the wood country in the typical hilly countryside of Lower Bavaria.

History

Already in pre-Christian times, the current community bag Bach was settled by the Celts. Of these, several located in the municipality area cemeteries as well as a Celtic Viereckschanze testify. Mayor

Mayor Michael Diewald (CSU ), the 54.9 % of the votes prevailed over his rival candidates on 16 December, 2012. His predecessor Josef Eglseder (CSU ), who was in office since 2002, was confirmed in 2008 with 65.77 % of the votes cast in office, passed away on September 20, 2012 unexpectedly at the age of 68 years. Its predecessor was Hans Röhrner ( Nonpartisan voter community ).
