Scott Tinley

Scott Tinley ( born October 25, 1956) is a former American professional triathlete and two-time Ironman World Champion (1982 and 1985).

Career

Tinley launched since 1983 as a professional triathlon and was two -time World Champion on the long distance triathlon at Ironman Hawaii (1982 and 1985). Together with Mark Allen (USA, Hawaii won six times: 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995 ), Dave Scott (USA, also won 6 times Hawaii: 1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1987 ) and Scott Molina (USA) Scott Tinley was one of the " Big Four", the quasi accounted for then every triathlon among themselves.

He now lives with his wife Virginia and two children in California.
