Scott Molina

Scott Molina (* February 29, 1960 in Pittsburg, California) is an American triathlete and Ironman World Champion (1988).

Career

Scott Molina was active as a professional triathlon 1982-1995 and could decide the 1988 World Championship Long Distance Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii for itself.

Together with Mark Allen (USA, Hawaii won six times: 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995 ), Dave Scott (USA, also won 6 times Hawaii: 1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1987 ) and Scott Tinley (USA ) was one of "The Terminator " Scott Molina to the "Big Four", the quasi accounted for then every triathlon among themselves. 1988 Scott Molina tested positive after the Nice Triathlon on Anabolic Steroids - the later counter-analysis was also positive.

He now lives with his wife Erin Baker ( formerly professional triathlete and two-time world champion) and her three children in Christchurch in New Zealand. Scott Molina has now finished his pro career and is still active as a coach. So he trains for example, the Canadian triathlete Tara Norton and the Australian Chris McDonald.
