Septèmes-les-Vallons
Septèmes -les- Vallon is a commune with 11,067 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.
Geography
Septèmes -les- Vallon is located twenty kilometers from Aix -en -Provence. In the south, bordering the municipality to the Marseille. Other neighboring towns are Les Pennes -Mirabeau in six kilometers away, Bouc -Bel-Air in ten kilometers away and Simiane -Collongue three miles away. The municipality is part of the Urban Community of Marseille Provence Métropole.
History
The place was first mentioned in the first century. 1790, the church was founded by separation from the neighboring village of Les Pennes -Mirabeau. The addition of ' les- Vallon " to the community name was added in 1919.
Twinning
The municipality maintains since 2006 a city partnership with the Algerian Beni Abbes.
