Velaux

Velaux is a commune with 8589 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

Geography

Velaux located 20 kilometers west of Aix -en- Provence, 17 kilometers south of Salon-de -Provence and 35 kilometers northwest of Marseille in the valley of the River Arc.

Traffic

Velaux is in close proximity to the junction of the A8 motorway A7 (called autoroute du Soleil ). It is located on the railway line Rognac -Aix. The station is no longer in operation, however.
