Soriano Calabro

Soriano Calabro is a town in the province of Vibo Valentia in Calabria with 2427 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Location and data

Soriano Calabro is 20 km southeast of Vibo Valentia on the slopes of Serre. The neighboring municipalities are Gerocarne, Pizzoni, Sorianello, Stefanaconi. The town is a center for agriculture and trade.

Attractions

Worth seeing is the ruins of the church and convent of San Domenico. The church was built in Baroque style; the wooden choir dates from the 18th century. The neighboring monastery was reconstructed several times.
