Zambrone

Zambrone is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1766 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Vibo Valentia in Calabria. The village is located approximately miles from Vibo Valentia on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea ( Capo Cozzo ).

History

The community got its origin to to between 1300 und 1310. From the Iron Age, however, is still a necropolis.

Traffic

The train station of Zambrone is located on the (side) rail line of Rosarno after Eccellente. Passing through the municipality, the former State Road 522 di Tropea (now a provincial road ) from Tropea along the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
