Taranta Peligna

Taranta Peligna ( in the local dialect la Taranta, until 1881 Tarantola ) is a municipality ( comune ) in Italy with 384 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region. The community is located about 36 kilometers south of Chieti on the Aventine and the Majella National Park, part of the Comunità Montana Aventine - Medio Sangro and directly borders the province of L' Aquila.

Through the community, the Strada Statale 84 Frentana leads from Roccaraso to Altino.
