Ãœberackern

Überackern is a rural town in Upper Austria in the district of Braunau am Inn in Innviertel with 659 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The competent court is the district court district of Braunau am Inn.

Geography

Überackern is located on 356 m altitude in Innviertel near the Inn -Salzach - mouth, surrounded by extensive woodlands of Weilhart forest. The expansion is 8.6 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 6 km. The total area is 27 km ². 77.4 % of the area is forested, 14.8% of the area is used for agriculture.

Coat of arms

History

Überackern and his parish have already been mentioned in a document from the period 748-788. Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then Innbaiern ) to Austria. During the Napoleonic Wars shortly Bavarian, it belongs since 1814 finally to Upper Austria.
