Verdun Collège Français
The Collège Français de Verdun was a Canadian ice hockey team from Verdun, Quebec. The team played from 1988 to 1994 in one of the three highest Canadian Junior Hockey League, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League ( QMJHL ).
History
The Remparts de Québec Quebec Major Junior Hockey from the League in 1988 relocated from Quebec City to Longueuil Collège Français and renamed de Longueuil. The biggest success of the team was winning the Lebel Division in the 1990/91 season and then reach the second playoff round in which they, however, the Voltigeurs de Drummondville subject with a sweep in the best- of-seven series. Following this season, the team of the person in charge to Verdun, a suburb of Montreal was moved, where it played under the name Collège Français de Verdun. In the first season after moving the team from Quebec City for the first and only time the Coupe du Président won. As a master of the QMJHL to Verdun qualified for the final tournament for the championship of the Canadian Hockey League, in the first round they were eliminated the Memorial Cup, fourth and thus last. In the period following the franchise could not then this success and retired twice in the first round of the playoffs, so that it was disbanded in 1994.
