Geography
Geographical Location
Woltershausen is located south-southwest of Bad Salzdetfurth west of the municipal seat Lamspringe. The town is located east of the blind Forest and northeast of the Ahrens mountain in the western basin of the Riehe or in the southern core.

History
The village was first mentioned in 1141. Tenants of the domain Hornsen was since November 1928, the later Nazi minister Herbert Backe.
Incorporations
On March 1, 1974, the municipalities Graste, networks and Woltershausen - Hornsen were incorporated into the new municipality Woltershausen.

In Woltershausen St. Mary's Church, an evangelical church.
Music
Hödeken chapel which has emerged from the military band of the volunteer fire department.
Regular events
Once a year a village evening takes place with many performances. All straight year celebrates the youth of the village, the so-called Pentecostal beer. In 2012, this tradition is celebrating its 150th anniversary.

Traffic
- Woltershausen is connected via county roads with the B243 to the road network.
- The railway Kassel -Hannover runs through the municipality. This includes the Ries mountain tunnel.
