1903 World Series

The World Series 1903 was the first edition of the modern World Series, the Finals of the Major League Baseball. It stood opposite the champion of the American League, the Boston Americans and the Pittsburgh Pirates, the champion of the National League. Winner of the Best - Of -Nine series were the Boston Americans 5-3 victories.

Two players per team, which participated in the World Series, were later incorporated into the Baseball Hall of Fame. On the part of Americans that honor Jimmy Collins and Cy Young was given, Fred Clarke and Honus Wagner were honored at the Pirates.
