2003 World Series

The World Series 2003 marks the 100th anniversary of the modern World Series. Due to the players strike of 1994, the 2004 World Series, therefore, the 99th edition of the Finals of the Major League Baseball was. The series started on 18 October 2003 and ended on 25 October 2003. There stood the champion of the American League, the New York Yankees, and the champion of the National League, the Florida Marlins, opposite.
