1933 World Snooker Championship

The Snooker World Championship 1933 was held in Joe Davis ' Billiards Centre in Chesterfield, England.

The defending champion Joe Davis came in the finals against the all-round talent pool Willie Smith, who participated for the first time in this tournament. He hit him with 25:18 and thus secured his seventh world title.

The first Scottish participants in this tournament was the future world champion of 1947 and 1950 Walter Donaldson. Until the participation of Jim Donnelly 1982, he was to remain the only Scotsman at a World Cup.
