2009 Tour de France, Stage 12 to Stage 21#Stage 13

The 13th stage of the 2009 Tour de France on July 17, led more than 200 km from Vittel to Colmar. It contained three intermediate sprints and 5 climbs the 1st, 2nd and 3rd category. This stage should be initially discharged to interaction of the tour managers without radio communication, after massive pressure from the teams of the radio traffic, however, was allowed again.

When you climb to the Col du Platzerwasel were Óscar Freire and Julian Dean injured by an unknown person with an air rifle. Freire was being injured thigh, Dean was inflicted a slight wound on his index finger. Freire's Rabobank team announced to abandon the case for display.
