2010 World Grand Prix (darts)

The Bodog.com World Grand Prix 2010 is a major tournament of the Professional Darts Corporation and was played Hotel in Dublin, Ireland from 4 to 10 October 2010 at City West. A peculiarity of the World Grand Prix is that the legs in the double -in double -out mode are played.

Defending champion was the English darts player Phil Taylor, his compatriot Adrian Lewis defeated this year in the semi-finals with 4:5.

The title was won by Englishman James Wade 6-3 to prevail in the final against Adrian Lewis and thus was able to win the tournament for the second time.

On German television, the World Grand Prix 2010 by Sport 1 was broadcast live.

Prizes

A total of £ 350,000 was paid out in prize money.

Qualification

For the World Grand Prix 2010, the following players were qualified:

  • The 16 top-ranked players in the Order of Merit, of which the eight winners were set
  • The 14 top-ranked players in the Players Championship Order of Merit, which were not already eligible on the Order of Merit
  • Had the two top ranked players in the Players Championship Order of Merit from Ireland and Northern Ireland, which do not satisfy any of the above two criteria and participated in at least four Players Championships tournaments
