2012 Morocco Tennis Tour – Marrakech

The Morocco Tennis Tour Marrakech in 2012 were the sixth edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Marrakech. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour in 2012 and was discharged from the 19th to 24th March 2012 at the outside. It was part of the Morocco Tennis Tour in 2012 and was held this year for the time being the last time.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 25 participants took place in the run-up in which four players were able to qualify for the main draw. The prize money of the event totaled as in the previous year € 30,000.

Before the tournament, the double set at position four Spanish pairing of Gerard Granollers and Pere Riba pulled back their participation due to illness Ribas. For they moved their compatriots David de Miguel and Israel Seville Maruhenda in the main draw.

In single won the set at position six Slovak Martin Klizan, who won the final against the set at position three Romanian Adrian Ungur in three sets. This was the sixth Challenger singles title of his career. Last year's winner Rui Machado of Portugal did not appear to defend their title.

Also in double Klizan could be entered on the side of his Spanish partner Daniel Munoz de la Nava in the winners list. They won the unseeded pairing of the final against the unseeded also Iñigo Cervantes -Huegun from Spain and Federico del Bonis of Argentina in the match tie-break. This was Kližans second title on the Challenger Tour in a double of his career and the first this season. For Muñoz de La Nava, it was the 14th title in a dual tournament this category and the first of the season. It was their first joint success at a Challenger tournament. Last year's winners Peter Luczak of Australia and Alessandro Motti from Italy came in this year, not in this constellation. While Luczak completely renounced a start, Motti difference on the side of his compatriot Alessio di Mauro set at position one in the quarter- finals.
