2012 Roma Open

The Roma Open 2012 was the 11th edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Rome. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour in 2012 and was discharged from the 6th to 12th May 2012.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 26 participants took place in the run-up in which four players were able to qualify for the main draw. The prize money of the event was a total of 30,000 €.

In Single Pole Jerzy Janowicz won the unseeded, of the top-seeded Gilles Muller of Luxembourg defeated in straight sets in the final. This what the second Challenger singles title of his career and the first this season. Last year's winner Simone Bolelli of Italy difference at position four set out in the semifinals.

In the doubles competition, the top-seeded British pair failed to enforce consisting of Jamie Delgado and Ken Skupski against the unseeded Adrián Menéndez from Spain and Walter Trusendi from Italy in straight sets in the final. This was Delgado's 15th and Skupskis twelfth success in a doubles tournament of the Challenger category of their two careers. It was her second common titles they both reached this season. Last year's winners Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah of Colombia both did not occur to defend their title.
