2012 Aegon Nottingham Challenge

The AEGON Nottingham Challenge 2012 was the second edition of the tennis lawn tournament in Nottingham. The main round was played from 11 to 17 June 2012. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2012, and together with the one week earlier held AEGON Trophy in 2012 and the British Open, a wheelchair tennis tournament, the Nottingham Tennis Festival.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 32 participants took place in the run-up in which four players were able to qualify for the main draw. The prize money of the event totaled € 64,000 as the year before.

The individual tournament decided the set at position six Slovenian Grega Zemlja after a three sets lasting final against classified at position two Slovaks Karol Beck for themselves. Zemlja obtained as the third Challenger singles title of his career and the first of the season. The defending Dudi Sela of Israel retired in the quarterfinals against eventual champions.

In the finals of the doubles competition sat the unseeded Olivier Charroin from France and Martin Fischer of Austria against the Russian wildcard owner Evgeny Donskoy and Andrei Kuznetsov in straight sets by. This was Charroins fourth doubles title of his career in this category and the second this year. For fishermen, it was already the 13 titles on the Challenger Tour and the second of the season. It was their only common success so far.
