2012 Aegon Trophy

The AEGON Trophy 2012 was a tennis tournament which took place in Nottingham from 4 to 10 June 2012. It was a tournament of the ATP Challenger Tour 2012 and part of the Nottingham Tennis Festival at which the AEGON Nottingham Challenge, as well as a wheelchair tennis tournament, the British Open belonged. It was played outdoors on lawn.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. In the individual competition, there was a qualifying round with 16 players, by the four players could qualify for the main draw itself. The prize money of the event was as the year before 64,000 €.

Winner of the individual competition was the unseeded German Benjamin Becker, who won in three sets in the final against the set at position four Russians Dmitry Tursunov. It was Becker's sixth individual title at Challenger level and the first and only this season. The victorious last year Gilles Muller of Luxembourg came into this year not to defend his title.

The double competition won the set at position four pairing that consisted of the Filipinos Treat Conrad Huey and the British Dominic Inglot. You defeated in the finals unseeded Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielsen in the match tie-break. It was Huey 13th career title with a doubles competition of the Challenger - class and first in the 2012 season. Inglot For it was the fifth Challenger doubles title of his career and his second of the season. It was the fourth joint victory of the two. The defending champion Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins failed set at position one in the quarter-finals this year.
