2012 Nielsen Pro Tennis Championships

The Nielsen Pro Tennis Championships of 2012 was the 21st edition of the hard court tennis tournament in Winnetka. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour in 2012 and was discharged from the 1st to the 6th of July 2012 at the open.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 24 participants took place in the run-up in which four players were able to qualify for the main draw. The prize money of the event was a total as last year U.S. $ 50,000.

The single won the tournament qualifier John - Patrick Smith, who defeated the set at position seven Lithuanians Ričardas Berankis in three sets in the final. This was the first Challenger singles title of his career. Last year's winner James Blake did not appear to defend their title.

In the doubles competition at the unseeded American Devin Britton and Jeff Dadamo sat in the match tie-break against the top-seeded Australian John Peers and individual winner John - Patrick Smith. This was for both of the first titles on the Challenger Tour. The defending champion Treat Huey and Bobby Reynolds both did not occur to defend their title.
