39th National Hockey League All-Star Game

The 39th National Hockey League All-Star Game was held on February 9, 1988 in St. Louis. The match took place at the St. Louis Arena, the venue of the host St. Louis Blues. The All-Stars of the Prince of Wales Conference beat the Campbell Conference just 6-5 in overtime. The game saw 17,878 spectators. Mario Lemieux of the Pittsburgh Penguins has been named the MVP.
