Accettura is a municipality with 1945 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Matera in the region of Basilicata.

The town is located 82 km south of Matera. The neighboring municipalities are Calciano, Campomaggiore (PZ ), Cirigliano, Oliveto Lucano, Pietrapertosa (PZ ), San Mauro Forte and Stigliano.
