Pomarico

Pomarico is a municipality in the province of Matera in southern Italy with 4207 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012 ). It belongs to the region of Basilicata. The name is " carrier Pomi " from the Latin stem, which means as much as fertile ground.

Geography

This is not a typical tourist town, more of a mountain village, where the tourism boom of recent decades passed.
