Anton Heida

Anton Heida (* October 1878; † unknown) was an American gymnast and five -time Olympic champion.

In the Summer Olympics 1904 in St. Louis, he was with five gold and one silver medal of the most successful athletes of these Games. He won the individual competition in the individual all-around in horse jumping (along with fellow countryman George Eyser ), on the high bar (along with compatriot Edward Hennig ) and on the pommel horse. As a member of Turngemeinde Philadelphia he won gold in the team all-around also. At the bars he got behind George Eyser the silver medal.

His victories were counted as national titles. He won the 1902 national championship in horse jumping.
