The Apple River Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County in the northwest corner of the U.S. state of Illinois.

Geography

The Apple River Township is located in northwestern Illinois and is drained by the Apple River. The Township is bordered to the north by the Lafayette County in Wisconsin. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa, is about 40 km to the west.

The Apple River Township is located at 42 ° 28'44 " north latitude and 90 ° 08'16 " west longitude and extending over 47.92 km ².

The Apple River Township is bordered on the east by the Warren Township, to the southeast by the Rush Township, on the south by the Thompson Township and on the west by the Scales Mound Township.

Traffic

Through the Apple River Township run no highways. A number of partly unpaved County Roads run through the Township.
