Argentine motorcycle Grand Prix

The Grand Prix of Argentina for motorcycles was a motorcycle race, which was held 1960-1999 eleven times in the Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez Alfredo near Buenos Aires, 1961-1999 ten times belonged to the motorcycle world championship.

Record winner is Mick Doohan and Hugh Anderson, who could win the race three times.

Between 1961 and 1963, different variants of the route was traveled by the different displacement classes. The classes to 50 and to 125 cc used a 2.625 km long track, the 250cc and 500cc class sailed three different versions with lengths from 3.140 to 4.706 kilometers.

After the race had been provided several times in previous years and canceled at short notice, the Grand Prix of Argentina 2014 season is back in the race calendar of the Motorcycle World Championship and will be held at the Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo.
