The Motorcycle World Championship season in 1963 was the 15th in the history of the FIM motorcycle road racing World Championship.
³ In the class up to 500 cm, eight were discharged five races in the class up to 350 cc seven, in the class up to 250 cc of ten, in the class up to 125 cc twelve in the class up to 50 cc of nine and at the sidecars.
Scoring
- The number gewerteter runs was calculated with an even number of races held by halving this number and then added with one. With six races so four were included in the championship standings.
- If an odd number of races held, the number of runs was added to one and then halved. With seven races thus four were included in the ranking.
