Arneštovice

Arneštovice ( German Arnestowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers north-west of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Arneštovice is located in a valley on the left side of the Trnavka in Želivská pahorkatina, a part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. To the north are the hills Vystrkov ( 565 m) and Radejov ( 576 m).

Neighboring towns are Košetice in the north, and Číhovice Jiřičky in the northeast, Křelovice in the east, Cervena Řečice the southeast, Rovná, Vítovice and Hořepník in the south, and Kyjov Lesná in the southwest, and Dobroměřice Radejov in the west and Krasolesi in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Arnosstowicze place in the year 1403. The place was originally been part of the Archdiocese of Prague associated rule Řečice and then came into the possession of Ondřej Šafrán of Bela, who in 1403 sold it to the Vyšehrad Chapter. Unclear is the origin of the place name, which can be derived from both a locator arnest or the Prague Archbishop Ernest of Pardubice. It is possible that in the earlier located at the village square four ponds to by the chroniclers called Benes of Weitmühl ponds, which allowed to create at Řečice the bishop.

After the destruction of Vyšehrad by the Hussites it was passed into the possession of the Lords of Loutkov and since 1457 detected as part of the adjacent dominion Loutkov. 1539 acquired by Hynek Žampach and Potštejn the rule Hořepník including Loutkov. Subsequent owners were the Skuhrovský of Skuhrov, Kekulé von Stradonitz and Španovský Lisov. 1639 sold Joachim Španovský his property to Humprecht Račínov of Račín on Hradek and in the middle of the 17th century were the owners of Martinic Arneštovice.

In 1720 manufactured by Johann Christoph Müller Map of the Kingdom of Bohemia, the village is listed as Arneschtowitz. 1757 sold Josef Graf Martinic the united after the fire of the castle Loutkov rule Loutkov - Hořepník to the Congregation of St. Louis de Montfort. After the Josephine reforms took place in 1777, the merger with the Italians Hospital in Prague. Until 1751, the village belonged to Bechyně code and thereafter until 1850 to Tábor district. 1791 acquired Wenzel Bechyně, Knights of Lazan the rule Hořepník. Other owners were in 1804, Josef Erben, from 1807 onwards Anton Ritter von Petz, 1813 Ignaz Löffelmann, 1820 Anton Rombald and in 1836 Joseph Pistorius. After the abolition of patrimonial Arneschtowicze was a separate municipality and was in 1854 the official name Arnoštovice. As of 1868, the village to the district team Pelhřimov and 1918 belonged to the district of Pelhřimov. Seat of the District Court was 1850-1949 Pacov and then Pelhřimov. The town's name was changed in 1886 Arneštovice, to avoid confusion with the then independent municipality also Arnoštovice. In 1907 the town had 245 inhabitants. In 1976, the annexation to Košetice. Since 1990 Arneštovice is self again.
