Art O'Connor

Arthur "Art " O'Connor (* 1888 in Celbridge, County Kildare, † May 10, 1950 ) was an Irish Sinn Féin politician.

Biography

O'Connor, who was by profession a civil engineer and architect, was founded in 1919 as a representative of Sinn Féin member of the first House of Commons ( 1 Dáil ) and belonged to this first as a representative of the constituency of Kildare South and then from 1921 to 1922 for the constituency of Kildare - Wicklow of.

During this time he was at first from March 11 to June 29, 1920 Deputy Director of Agriculture and thus de facto representative of the Minister of Agriculture Robert Childers Barton.
