Athletics at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Men's 1500 metres
The 1500 -meter run of the men at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing was held from 15 to 19 August 2008 at Beijing National Stadium. 50 athletes took part.
There were four heats. The first five and the four time fastest athletes qualified for the semifinals here. The semi-final was played in two rounds, in which the five best runners as well as the two fastest qualified for the finals.
The directly qualified runners are light blue, highlighted the over time qualified athletes bright green.

Rashid Ramzi came with a time of 3:32,94 minutes as leaders home. End of April 2009 was detected at follow-ups of the Beijing doping samples that Ramzi had taken the blood doping agents Cera. Thus, it was deleted by the IOC from the winners' list and denied his gold medal. Ramzi was the first Olympic champion and medalist of Bahrain.
