History

The oldest documents date from the early 13th century. Finds from the Celtic period, however, show that Bishop home is much older. It can be assumed that the naming goes back to the St. Boniface. From Fulda, where he erected a Benedictine monastery in the year 744, the bishop led the way over to the Bishop home imperial palace salt.
