Bistagno

Bistagno ( Bistagn Piedmontese ) is a municipality with 1941 (as of 31 December 2012) a population of Alessandria in the Italian province (AL ), Region Piedmont.

The Castelletto d' Erro neighboring municipalities are, Melazzo, Monastero Bormida (AT), Montabone (AT), Ponti, Rocchetta Palafea (AT), Sessame (AT) and Terzo.

The municipality covers an area of 17 km ².

Specialty

In Bistagno vines for the Dolcetto d' Acqui, a red wine are grown with DOC status. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa. The Muscat grape for the Asti Spumante, a sweet DOCG sparkling wine with a low alcohol content and for still wine Moscato d' Asti are also grown here.
