Budíkov

Budíkov ( German Budikau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north of Humpolec and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Budíkov is on the left side of the Pstružný creek in the hills of the upper Sázava, a branch of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the border areas of Bohemia to Moravia. To the east rises the Kopec ( 655 m) and in the southeast of the Orlik ( 678 m).

Neighboring towns are Řečice in the north, Maly Budíkov and Kejžlice in the northeast, Mozerov in the east, in the southeast Čejov, Hadina and Světlice in the south, Horni Rapotice in the west and Kaliště and Pusté Lhotsko in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Budíkov place in the year 1226.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Budíkov Budíkov ( Budikau ), Maly Budíkov ( Kleinbudikau ) and Pusté Lhotsko ( Wüstlhota ).
