Burweg

Burweg is a municipality in the Lower Saxony Oldendorf - gates of heaven in the district of Stade. It consists of the districts Burweg, Blumenthal and Bossel.

Geography

The municipality is located in the march of the Oste on the edge of the Geest. In addition, the local situation Horst is one of them lying on a sandy ridge between the nucleus and the Oste.

History

Incorporations

The formerly independent villages of Blumenthal and Bossel were incorporated on 1 July 1972 at the train the local government reform after Burweg.

The coat of arms of the municipality Burweg was decided on 23 February 1983 by the council and approved by the district of Stade, March 22, 1983.

Structures

The St. Peter 's Church on the Horst was built as part of the Holler colonization of the immigrant Dutch, who were involved in the reclamation of the marshes in 1200. The old bell from this period came in 1912 at the Museum of Lüneburg. In the cemetery of the church are some fascinating old grave stones.

Association

The gun club was founded in 1926.
