Canton of Nesle

The Canton of Nesle is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Peronne, the Somme and in the Picardie region; its chief town is Nesle. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 1998, Paul Pilot ( PCF).

Geography

The Canton of Nesle is 11,145 acres ( 111.45 km ²) in size and has (2006) 7756 inhabitants, which corresponds to a population density of 70 inhabitants per km ². The canton is located in the middle to 71 m above sea level, between 47 m in Saint-Christ - Briost and 104 m in Licourt.
