Cardiff RFC

The Cardiff Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club that plays in the Welsh Premier Division. The home games are played at Cardiff Arms Park.

History

The Cardiff RFC was founded in 1876 and was his first game against Newport from December 2 of the year. The first home game he played at Sophia Gardens. Soon after, however, the club moved to the Cardiff Arms Park. The first national title he won in 1881 with the South Wales Challenge Cup by beating Llanelli. This cup competition was abolished shortly thereafter due to lack of viewers again.

In addition to the seven Cup successes and a championship the collection belongs to the finals of the Heineken Cup 1996, the first edition of the most important European competition to the greatest successes of the club. In addition, the club won the title in the Welsh - Scottish League 2000. Cardiff has provided the most players of all clubs for the Welsh national team and the British and Irish Lions in its history.

1953 succeeded the Cardiff RFC to beat the All Blacks 8-3. From the former team celebrated the seven survivors of the 50th anniversary of this historic event.
