ÄŒejov

Čejov ( German Tschejow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-northeast of Humpolec and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Čejov located at Čejovský creek in the hills of the upper Sázava, a branch of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the border areas of Bohemia to Moravia. Northeast of the Kopec collected ( 655 m), to the east of the Orlik ( 678 m) and in the south of Rozkoš ( 644 m) with the ruins of the castle Orlik.

Neighboring towns are Maly Budíkov and Kejžlice in the north, Leština in the east, Splav, Zdislavice and Rozkoš to the southeast, and Vilémov Humpolec in the south, Humpolecké Hadiny in the southwest, and Hadina Světlice in the west and Budíkov in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Čejov took place in 1370.
